The Omni Block pulley makes some very basic but effective changes to the rescue pulley. First, by adding a swivel to the top of the body, the Omni allows the pulley to rotate with the rope, reducing friction and equipment failures brought on by torque in a system. The swivel also acts as the pulley’s attachment point to the system, allowing rescuers to rig and re-rig pulleys at will without needing to manipulate carabiners.
